Del.icio.us Account for Site O

November 4th, 2006

I have set up an account with http://del.icio.us, otherwise known as Delicious, as a means of sharing links.  For those who know of and use Delicious, the benefits will be obvious.  To those who don’t, I will explain the benefits to you:

Delicious is a free website that allows its users to save links online - in otherwords, an online bookmark site.  The site for Site O is at http://del.icio.us/siteocanada.  Anyone can view this page, with or without an account.  If you wish to have a link added on to this account you have two options. (1) You can email me the link and I will add it, granted that its relevant to the mission statement of Site O (in otherwords, if it is remotely related to fortifications or artillery!) and (2) you can easily set up a free account for yourself and share it with me.  To add me to your network is easy; on your account page, go to “your network”, which will appear at the top left.  One the right hand side of the page that comes up will be an open box with a button reading “add” on it.  Simply enter “siteocanada” and click add, and you’re done.  As soon as I can, I will add your user to my network.  That way, pages can be shared easily.

Hopefully this resource will be used by members, and I will add to it as I can.   Of course, this is for all to use, and therefore all can contribute to it.  If you have a list of bookmarks, and are feeling particularly kind, send them to me at siteocanada’at’shaw.ca and I will add them for all Site O, and non-Site O, members to see.  I hope this becomes a popular means of sharing with Site O.
